Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sheopur was established on 13th August, 2007 with Mr. L.K.Thakur and Mr. Shobhit Jain (IAS, District Collector) as 1st Principal and Chairman respectively.This is a Civilian category school and currently run in the Shedule Tribes (Aadim Jati Kalyan) Hostel campus.Kendriya Vidyalaya is alloted 3.333 Hectare land behind District hospital at Pali road bypass.


Sheopur is 120 km away from Shivpuri, 220 km from Gwalior, 55 km from Sawai Madhopur,70 km from Baran and 120 km from Kota.There are many medicinal plants found in the near by forests which has a great demand in the International Market.It has a International Level KUNO Sanctuary bestowed and blessed by nature.It is connected to Gwalior through a narrow gage which is 240 km long,which is the longest in India.


The Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education, (H.R.D.) Govt. of India, New Delhi. As result of the recommendations of the second Pay Commission. They Primarily cater to the educational needs of the children of Central Govt. Employees including Defence Personnel and floating population liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, therefore they have common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
